CAVELL

Cavell began producing and writing his own music when he was 17. Naturally, singing followed not long after. Michael Jackson is without-a-doubt his biggest source of inspiration, the fact that he had a simple love for what he did and it showed; through the emotion in his voice and the conviction in his dancing.

Cavell started dancing and imitating Michael Jackson at the age of 3, though he never to...ok up dance lessons- Cavell was busting moves in his parents' living room singing along to "Human Nature" in front of the T.V. Cavell's parents were big fans of Michael Jackson, so Cavell has been influenced and inspired since he came into this world. Another big inspiration to Cavell is Kanye West. He loves his music, creative process and his high-fashion style. Kanye's album "808's and Heartbreak" has influenced his music just as much as Michael's "Thriller", "Bad" or "Dangerous" has.

Cavell never dreamed of being a singer when he was younger. Originally, he wanted to be a performer- a dancer, actor, film or stage director; nearly everything to do with performing. Ironically, Cavell is actually very humble and shy behind the scenes. He loves the fact that he can be someone else; like an alter ego who can do whatever he wants on onstage. When Cavell s up there he's doing what he loves to do and really enjoys being able to evoke reaction from the audience. On stage Cavell has the ability to inspire people that want to do what he's doing. "I want my music to be timeless… I want my music to relate to people and real situations. I want my music to inspire people and want them to dance. Being on stage is like being in a different world."

Cavell has gradually developed his own musical sense of style through collaborations and guidance from local super-talented artists such as DLOVE and Deach from record-breaking Hip Hop group Smashproof. Cavell had the privilege of performing alongside Jae'O as the opening act for Smashproof during their 2009 tour from May through to August. Cavell believes he wouldn't have become the artist he is today if it wasn't for their support and teachings. He's looking forward to more collaborations in the future with other amazing local talent

Fuse a beat like "Welcome to heart break" together with the vocal melody and structure of "Human Nature" and that's what you get when Cavell brings his game to the table.
