Move The Crowd Records was set up at the end of 2004 by Kirk Harding, an NZ born music executive now based in New York working at Universal/Motown; in partnership with Justin "Juse" Ferguson and Aaron Christie, owners of Auckland, NZ based music studio and publishing company Woodcut Productions who have been providing recording services for artists, music composition services and licensing for artists, film, and TV as well as a wide range of other audio services since 1998.
The formation of Move The Crowd occurred when Juse, whilst traveling the UK and US to records artists for his album Global Casino, met with Kirk and had the opportunity to play demo recordings of some of his and Tyree's work. Kirk was uncharacteristically taken by the talent on show and wanted to be involved.
Move The Crowd have risen to the forefront of Aotearoa Hiphop. Now established as a credible Hip Hop mainstay in both NZ and Australia with strong partnerships and established marketing and distribution partners they are set to unleash some incredible talent to the Hip Hop market.
